The House
The Marl Inn Bed and Breakfast is a private home B&B in historic Yorktown near Williamsburg, VA. It was built in 1978 with a colonial architectural style. The inn opened for business in 1996 and has been in continuous operation offering guests exceptional accommodations and hospitality since that time. In July 2015, the inn was purchased by Apostolos and Amy Demetry.
The inn is named for hard clay called “Marl” used as a building material by early colonists in Yorktown.
Yorktown is a National Landmark where American and French forces won the last battle of the American Revolution.
The Grounds
The Marl Inn Bed and Breakfast is situated on a half-acre lot, surrounded by a beautiful perennial garden. Peaceful and idyllic, our Virginia B&B invites guests to enjoy the large lawn, outdoor swing, patios and large shady trees in the summer.

Served in our kitchen dining area, guests can enjoy their mornings with a hot entrée freshly made with a selection of eggs, meat, fresh fruit and baked goods.
- Breakfast is served at 8:45 a.m.
- To opt-in to our full breakfast guests will pay an additional $15 per day plus tax for each adult breakfast.
- We have a continental breakfast option available for $8 per adult. This is prepared and placed in your suite’s refrigerator before your arrival. This includes yogurt, orange juice, hard-boiled eggs, fresh fruit and a fresh baked good. This is a great option for customers that have an early morning departure or want to sleep in.
